Nigeria Police Recruitment Written Exam and Printing of Invitation Card

The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has fixed 28 to 30th April, 2026 for the written examination for applicants seeking enlistment as Police Constables (for both General Duty and Specialist applicants). The exercise will be conducted at the designated centres in the thirty-six states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This stage of the recruitment process is open to only successful candidates who passed the physical and credentials screening.

How to Check the Nigeria Police Recruitment List of Successful Candidates for Written Exams

Qualified applicants are advised to log on to www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng from Friday 24th April, 2026 to enable them print their Examination Invitation Card.

The invitation card holds paramount importance as it contains vital information regarding the date, time and venue of every candidate’s examination.

Candidates are encouraged to print out their Examination Invitation Cards and keep them safe before the examination.

Items Needed on the Exam Day

All candidates are expected to come with the following items on the examination day:

A pen for writing during the exam
National Identification Number (NIN) Slip from NIMC, with a visible photograph.
Printed Invitation Card for the examination showing examination details.

Dress Code for Examination

White Short
White T-shirt
White canvas shoes.

Candidates are advised to adhere to these requirements strictly, as any failure to comply with them may result in disqualification or even being barred from entering the examination hall. Proper identification and dressing are the screening mechanisms.

The Police Service Commission has also reiterated that the entire recruitment process into the Nigeria Police Force is completely free of charge. Therefore, applicants are warned to shun any individuals or groups who request for money before they could assist with their recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force.

Further, the PSC has strongly cautioned against all forms of job racketeering, scams or financial inducement. Anyone caught engaging in fraud activities related to the recruitment exercise will be dealt with by law to the fullest extent.

Applicants are encouraged to only communications from official channels for accurate updates regarding the recruitment process. The Commission is committed to providing transparent, merit, and fair recruitment processes for all eligible Nigerians intending to join the Nigeria Police Force.
