The Katsina State Internal Revenue Service (KT-IRS) has opened its 2026 recruitment exercise for suitably qualified, career oriented candidates to submit their applications. Interested applicants are to apply through the online portal from Monday 13th April to Friday 17th April, 2026.

The recruitment exercise seek to recruit professionals in revenue and tax cadres with the objective of bolstering revenue administration in Katsina State.

Available Vacancies and Requirements

Revenue Cadre Posts

1. Assistant Executive Officer (GL 06)

  • Applicants should have a National Diploma (ND) from a recognized institution, be aged 18 and above and possess relevant working experience.

2. Executive Officer (GL 07)

Some of the requirements include an ND certificate, a minimum age of 18 years, and applicable work experience.

3. Higher Executive Officer (GL 08)

  • Candidates must possess a Higher National Diploma (HND), be at least 22 years of age, produce an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate and possess work experience.

4. Senior Executive Officer (GL 09)

This position requires a HND certificate, minimum age of 25 years, NYSC discharge or exemption certificate and three years working experience.

5. Principal Executive Officer II (GL 10)

  • Applicants should possess HND certificate, a discharge or exemption certificate from the NYSC and six years of relevant work experience.

6. Principal Executive Officer I (GL 12)

  • They include an HND, a discharge or exemption NYSC certificate and work experience of nine years.

7. Assistant Chief Executive Officer (GL 13)

For this position, candidates must have an HND, NYSC discharge or exemption certificate and twelve years of working experience.

8. Chief Executive Officer (GL 14)

Must have an HND, NYSC discharge or exemption certificate and fifteen years of work experience.

Tax Cadre Positions

1. Inspector of Taxes II – GL 08

  • A university degree from a recognized university is necessary, the minimum age is 22 years, accompanied by the NYSC discharge or exemption certificate and relevant working experience.

2. Inspector of Taxes I – GL 09

  • The applicants must be at least 25 years old, hold a degree, present the NYSC certificate, and possess three years of working experience. However an MBA is an added advantage.

3. Senior Inspector of Taxes – GL 10

  • The position requires a degree, NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, six years work experience, and a professional qualification such as ICAN, CITN, ANAN, or CIPN.

4. Principal Inspector of Taxes – GL 12

  • They must not be above 55 years, have a degree, the NYSC certificate, nine years of experience and relevant professional qualification.

5. Assistant Chief Inspector of Taxes – GL 13

  • Applicants must have a degree, NYSC certificate, twelve years work experience, relevant professional qualification and should not be above 55 years.

6. Chief Inspector of Taxes – GL 14

The role requires a degree, NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, fifteen years’ work experience, a relevant professional qualifications and an age limit of 55 years.

7. Assistant Director (Tax Cadre) – GL 15 Applicants must have a degree, an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, eighteen years of work experience, a relevant professional qualification, and must not be older than 55 years.

Documents Required

  • Birth Certificate or declaration of age.
  • Indigene certificate from local government.
  • NYSC discharge/Exemption letter (where applicable).
  • The highest educational qualification.
  • Professional certificates, if any
  • Experienced applicants should provide appointment and last promotion letters.
