Sundial Evaluators International is inviting applications from suitably qualified applicants for the Field Data Collector Recruitment to help with the 2026 CSP Baseline Assessment for ActionAid Nigeria. The opportunity is ideal for individuals that have practical experience in conducting field researches, community engagement and digital data collection data to help carry out a baseline development assessment across the country.

The recruitment is coordinated by Sundial Evaluators International and open to applicants from all states in Nigeria. The direct work will be under selected communities for the candidates to collect quality data and help plan programs based on such information.

Job Location

This is a nationwide assignment. Field Data Collectors should have a high level of flexibility and readiness to work in different locations as determined by the project team.

Eligibility and Selection Process

The role also includes interacting with households and community stakeholders. Applicants who meet the requirements will be contacted and invited to a virtual interview or orientation session. Those candidates who succeed at this point will continue to mandatory virtual training before deployment. The review of applications is on a continuous basis hence the need to ensure that one send in their application early enough.

Roles and Responsibilities

Selected Field Data Collectors will have the following responsibilities:

  • Conducting Household Surveys using Approved Instruments.
  • Carrying out Key Informant Interviews (KIIs).
  • And facilitating Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
  • Collecting data ethically, accurately and confidentially.
  • Supervision in close liaison with supervisors to ensure timely collection of project data.

Requirements

Applicants should possess the following criteria:

  • Experience in conducting field research or collecting data.
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Competency in the use of digital tools such as Kobo Collect or Google Forms.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Language proficiency in local dialects will be an added advantage.

Important Notes

  • Shortlisting is ongoing with this in mind it is wise to apply sooner rather than later.
  • Selected candidates will be virtually trained before being deployed into the field.
  • Women are specifically encouraged to apply for the same.
